Upgrading an existing UV system to ensure successful water treatment for the city of Puyallup
TrojanUV Solutions

The city of Puyallup is located in Washington State and has a population of 43,000. The wastewater treatment plant that serves Puyallup and several surrounding communities treats wastewater and discharges effluent into the Puyallup River, which flows into the Puget Sound. This wastewater treatment plant stopped using chlorine to treat their water and transitioned to UV in 1999 when the TrojanUV4000® was installed. When the wastewater treatment plant needed to replace parts for this system in 2020, they instead decided to upgrade and refurbish their system in order to capitalize on energy savings and new technology available in the UV water treatment space.
