Upgrading an existing UV system to ensure successful water treatment in Washington
TrojanUV Solutions

A wastewater treatment plant in Washington state serves a city with a population of 43,000 as well as several surrounding communities. Effluent is discharged into a local river which flows into the Puget Sound. This wastewater treatment plant stopped using chlorine to treat their wastewater and transitioned to UV in 1999 when the TrojanUV4000® was installed. When the wastewater treatment plant needed to replace parts for this system in 2020, they instead decided to upgrade and refurbish their system in order to capitalize on energy savings and new technology available in the UV water treatment space.
